Help with joist design on a deck?

I have a question on Virginia building codes and joist placement, so an actual layout, or where to find good intel. The decking is to run widthwise, long side against the house (33' L x 10'W x 2' H). If joists were perpendicular to the house, plans call for posts every 48'' and joists 18" OC). So my question is, how do I plan for decking running perpendicular to the house..as normally there would be joists perp to the stringer, (also post dimension, post and joist spacing..how much blocking between joists.) Should breast nodules be removed?

Had routine mammogram and found a large nodule in right breast. Dr. reordered mammogram on right breast only and an ultrasound. Ultrasound showed that the nodule was not cancerous but recommended another in 6 months. My mother is breast cancer survivor. She had lumpectomy and radiation therapy but has been cancer free. Sadly it has to do with involvement. When we were involved in Vietnam, we barely paid attention to Pol Pot and his army of children slaughtering individuals either. id change alot of these cards but at least your onto something. if your really interested in warrior/spell caster deck i'll list some cards you might like. dark magician, buster bladder, dark paladin, 3 copies of skilled dark magician, 2 or 1 copies of skilled white magician, dark flare knight, mirage knight, dark magician knight, maybe dark magician girl, some spell cards of the top of my head. dark magic curtain, thousand knifes, de-fusion wave motion, some traps. magician circle 2 at best two copies of magical cylinder and a mirror force. the spell and trap cards you listed are pretty good too. other warriors . gilferd the lighting could help. marradin captin. oh and to help get out dark flare knight leading up to mirage knight i add summoner of illusions. future fusion would be a good way to go out dark paladin. i hope this helps. basically the cards i listed will help speed of the spell caster side speed power. im not to familiar with alot of warriors though but maybe this can help get your deck up to speed at bigger tournaments. wish you luck

Wow. That is a very inspiring (and yes, sad) sentence to end a dream (or a story) with! I don't see why your propensity for fantasy-writing should hamper your ability to write Mr. Baron's tale, though. You could make it a sad fantasy story. Perhaps Mr. Baron was married to a woman (or had a child, or something like that) who was very imaginative, and Mr. Baron was not really prone to fantasies, but he tolerated the stories of magic and mystique that his wife/daughter/whatever invented; oftentimes they would pull him into the stories, and he would find that he quite enjoyed pretending. But eventually, something happens and he loses his patience, and insists that all this pretending is pointless and immature. And then maybe the wife/child will die, and... OK, I forgot where I was even going with this. Sorry. I guess it was more of an idea than a tip, anyway. (Sometimes the two are difficult to distinguish, though.) :/ I hope this pathetic answer helped at least a little! how many processes do you have listed under task manager. I'm running on windows xp and my TM shows 66 processes!! does that sound a tad high? At the moment my cpu usage is at around 15-20%, however after a bit of browsing the interwebs it jumps to 100%...and my computer bogs down bad...to the point that I have to restart the computer, there's no other way to continue working. One process is using like 400,xxx k (firefox uses around 100,000 for comparison. This one that's over 400,000k is called svchost or something similar...anyway whenever I close it, I am no longer able to get online. Suggestions?

I have a Windows XP Dell laptop. I got it off of Amazon when my old laptop with Windows 7 broke. This software has Windows Media Player 10. I absolutely hate it. My Music skips when only played from my slave hard drive, Why?

It started when my CMOS battery went out. I replaced it. The rest of my computer is running fine. When I play music with ANY program it skips from the E drive, not the C drive. It doesn't seem like it's a virus. It's low but once you have to load anything, the cpu goes up very high quick. Even using those registry cleaners to clean the computer is hard because the computer will shut down because the cpu is too high. I don't know what I can get rid of in the processes tab either under the task manager. I'm worried I'll just mess up the computer more.

Creating a Backup Internal HDD From a Different Computer?

So I'm making a backup HDD for someone's desktop. The plan was to make a duplicate to where if the existing one went bad the backup could just get switched out with the bad one and would have the same OS (windows XP) and all of the files and be ready to go. I loaded up the OS on my desktop on home and took it over to their house and swapped it out with their current HDD on their desktop to transfer some files, which were stored on a flash drive. When I had it switched out I booted it up and got a message along the lines of their being no VGA connection and windows failed to start and gave me the option to start it on safe mode. Is it because the hardware on the desktop I installed the OS on is different than the other person's hardware? What can be done to successfully boot the OS on their computer?

Make sure you don't have any wireless devices interfering with the signal on your wireless keyboard and mouse and make sure there receiver is near by. I know that when i tried using an old wifi adapter on my computer my wireless mouse and keyboard became super laggy... so i got rid of it and now there fine. You also may be low on battery. OR your computer CPU usage is off the charts. Check your performance monitor through the task manager and make sure the CPU isn't high. If it is, kill some processes with high cpu usage under processes.

What is XP Antivirus 2012? How do I remove it?

Hi ladies and gents, today I was using my computer, like any other day. Then suddenly, all my browsers closed and this XP Anti-virus 2012 popped up and said I had 30 infections. It said I had to pay for the program to get rid of them, I didn't pay since i already had an anti virus installed... So after running a scan, I was surprised to see that I had infections on my computer, so I cleaned out the infections. After, the XP Antivirus 2012 still wouldn't go away... I thought I had to reset my computer... So I did. When I logged back on, it still popped up and said i had 30 infections still... So I repeated what I did before.. (scan, clean, reset) and the XP Antivirus 2012 STILL won't go away... It won't let me access my internet, it constantly brings pop ups saying that I have infections, constantly tells me that I have to purchase this program. I scanned my computer numerous times already! And this program STILL won't go away... What is this program? How can I remove it? Please help me :) and thanks for your time reading this. I appreciate all the help. :)

How to run a Quantum DLT4000 on Windows xp?

My father just dug out an old Quantum DLT4000 tape drive and some tapes to use with it and we have an Windows xp machine with the right SCSI connector to use it on. We found the driver software and Windows can see the device under the device manager but we cannot figure out how to operate it. Someone suggested to someone else in a similar circumstance that you need enterprise or server software to use these types of tape drives to work but we do not own a business in order to even get a trial. Does anyone know of any good software or work around for either Windows XP or Ubuntu Linux that will allow us to try it out or perhaps use it into the future without a high cost software?

I use Avast Free Antivirus. It finds a lot of infections without slowing down your machine. Put this on. Then once the viruses are gone, put the Windows disk in and select upgrade. It should repair all the windows files. Hope this helps

Sims 2 Double Deluxe for 20$ or Sims 3 Deluxe for 50$?

I only played Sims 3 for week on my friends computer and LOVED it. I wanted to get it so bad. Clean install of XP. DVD drive shows blank CD's, but when I insert a blank DVD, it opens a "recovery disk"?

Yes! I don't see why not. I highly recommend PR because the tests are not unnecessarily complicated and they're relevant. You'll also be using it throughout the year to help you prepare for the chapter tests and homework assignment. If you're planning on getting all of those books, you can order the used ones online. They're cheap and I found that the newer editions aren't necessary. You can buy old books. The publisher basically reuses the same practice tests so there's no point of getting the newest edition.

Yes the 2000 is a 1.6GHz CPU..I don't know were you get the 2.0GHz from unless its over clock speed. unless there is some jumper on the mother board that allows for a higher freq. setting it should have jumped to 1.6 by itself...try looking at the user manual see if there is something you need to "set"...I know the SiS chips were known for the "jumper" ability!

I had this problem and it was from some bad Custom Content. Try deleting all your custom content if you have any. I also had a similar issue when playing in full screen. If you play in windowed mode and lower the graphic details this may help.

Am I Buying the right OS?

I'm upgrading my OS from Windows XP to 7 Home Premium, and I think I've found who I'm buying it from. The only problem is that it's advertised under the name "Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 32-bit - OEM". Is there software I can buy to increase computer performance?

I want to buy a program off the shelf, not download, that will improve the performance of my computer. It is very slow to boot, and when I am trying to download a video or even open a website it takes a very long time of freezes. There or times when I click on a desktop icon and nothing happens. What I am looking for is a program that will scan my computer and look for hidden programs or extra programs that will remove the programs that are not needed. I do not play any games on it. I have System Mechanic 6 on it and I have Norton 360. Some other programs that are suppose to increase performance but do not. Windows XP. Password required restrictions on XP?

My mom has restrictions set on my brothers computer to where anything over a certain rating needs a password to access the site. Add Mobius, Raiza, and Granmarg since those are pretty useful. Also, D.D. Survivor is useful since he comes back when he's removed from play. I would also recommend Helios since that doesn't burn out your summon for the turn. That way, you can sacrifice Helios and bring out Caius or Kuraz. Or maybe even Delg now that he's out there. Delg is actually pretty useful since it removes cards from play from their Graveyard and sends 2 cards from their Deck to their Graveyard. As long as Macro Cosmos or either Banisher is out on the field, those cards are removed from play.

How can i write lack of self worth into my main character?

In my book, i want my main character to be less of an arrogant, quite unlovable character and one whos far more emotional, more vulnerable. Jared or Frazer (i haven't quite decided yet, i like the name Frazer Rook but havent quite got a surname for Jared yet, opinions please?) is thrust into a game of survival after a man made earthquake seperates the states on the coast of america from the rest of the country, and to survivors of the quake are forced into a government controlled, televised game in which they have to fend off other survivors for food, weapons etc. Frazer/Jared takes leadership of his group, but is cautious of making decisions and, after three of his group are killed in a raid which he planned, he loses confidence and a lot of self worth. How can i write this sort of vulnerable character in without making him seem weak or pathetic? thanks, liam.

Left 4 dead 2 crash help?

Hey, I played left 4 dead 2 on my desktop and it worked but my lab top has a better graphics card. So I try it on my labtop and when the loading screen pops up for a mission It crashes. A black screen comes up with lagging sounds and nothing comes up. I dont understand how this is possible that a desktop with much worse graphics card beats my labtop that has a better one. ASUS N53SV-XV1 is hands down one of the best laptops you could ever purchase. This laptop has the ability to be upgraded with up to 16gb of memory!!! It's speedy and the graphics are absolutely stunning on this laptop. The keyboard isn't a problem, IF you type like a caveman, then this keyboard will be a problem for you. It has a full number pad and the layout will take you a moment to get use to it, then you will be in love with it as I am. It doesn't get hot and the battery lasts for about 3.5 hours for me, I turn down the brightness some. It has a very sleek look and feel to it, thin and not bulky at all. I would purchase a 17" bag for it as my 16" bag barely covers it. Four gigs of ram is currently good enough to handle a lot of what you will need to do, plus I will be installing Linux on mine.

There's this movie I saw a couple of years ago that, to this day, has had its scenes run through my mind. I don't remember the name but I believe the movie begins with an undercover cop and his partner in a car staking out a drug deal. Someone tips the drug dealers off and both the cops are under fire. His partner doesn't make it out alive but they manage to stop the dealers. The premise of the movie, from what I can remember, is that every day on earth starts getting hotter and hotter until it kills people. My mother passed away Oct 2009, and on the day she died my stepdad, (my little brother and 16 year old sister’ biological father) went to job and family service’s in our county to get benefits switched over in his name. Then the same day he went to social security and tried to get survivor’s benefits for my siblings. My little brother’s dad stays drunk from the time he wakes up to the time he passes out, letting my little brother run the streets. He told us, (my other sisters and brother over the age of 18) that they would not give him any benefits from her death. She worked only for a little bit, and didn’t pay into social security tax much, I think that’s why they wouldn’t give him anything. Just wondering if anyone knows of that being true or not? What to do with the soul survivor of a pair of bonded parakeets?

This happened to me a few years ago. I had a bonded pair of budgies (parakeets), but the female died of egg binding. The male was very depressed after that. We tried talking to him, feeding him his favorite foods, playing with him and included him in family events (eating dinner, playing cards). Less then a month later, he died. We believe it was from depression, but he was also old. I think the depression weakened him and he died of a heat attack on July 4th. We had other budgies, but I just think he was so sad about his mate. Try keeping your budgie happy by doing the things we tried with our budgie. I would also advise getting some another budgie to keep her company.

Have a dell computer with windows xp. Turned on comp. and all that came up was a line saying press f1 to restart or f2 to enter set up. I press f1 it repeats the same thing I enter f2 it takes me to the set up screen. Not sure what is wrong or what to do. thanks

Minecraft controls messed up / not working!!?

About 2 weeks ago, my sister's Minecraft game on her computer was messing up. Whenever she tried to use WASD or open her inventory, it would just scroll to a random spot in the hot bar (1-9). When I try to change the controls in the options menu WASD shows up as a random number every time I try to change the key. I have found that many people are having the same problem on numerous sites (Google: Minecraft controls not working). I have tried to re-download the minecraft game (Launcher and Appdata folder). I have re-installed my keyboard drivers, and even went as far as re-installing my computers OS (wiping all data). The game still doesn't work. My sister's computer is running Windows XP on a 4 year old computer.

How can i play high quality games in windows 7 ?

I've been caught botting firemaking on my account and got a macroing minor offense and my account is temp banned for 14 days. My ban is almost over and in really nervous because I've heard of Jagex taking away xp that the player gained through botting. Is this true? But if I have the 6200 in, I cannot see anything on my monitor, but with my old one I can, so with the old one in, I downloaded the Driver (from nVidia website) for the GC and my system, Windows XP Pro 64 bit, but I cannot instal because it is unable to find suitable hardware. Why won't Sims 2 work?

Ok it took like, forever to install it yesterday (I have Sims 2 Deluxe if this makes a difference), then it gave me an error about DIrect x 9.0. I was like what the????? because it works on a different computer I use at a relative's house. They have Windows XP or Vista but I don't really know the difference. My computer at home that I am on right now is Windows Vista Home Premium. Anyway, I looked online and tried the compatibility mode fix. It worked, but then it closed after i clicked on the cheat box at the top of the screen. Now, it will usually say the application has crashed, but sometimes it says something about Direct x 9.0. I'm having serious problems trying to downgrade vista to xp on an advent 5401 laptop, the laptop won't even boot from the xp disc, i've changed the boot device order in the BIOS to boot from cd rom and i'm aware that i need to change the hard drive type before it will recognise the boot disc but i have tried every hard drive type option available on the BIOS screen and it still won't recognise the boot disc, if anyone has resolved this issue please could you let me know how you did it, many thanx in advance

Army Men RTS demo .exe?

So, I downloaded Army Men RTS demo from download.com. Ran the installer, double clicked, ran through my firewall and went through the administration check. Nothing happened. I hit Ctrl+Alt+Del and check processes, no Army Men RTS. So I double click the short cut again, watch the armrts.exe file hit, then shut its self off. It also does this for a windows XP. Mine is Windows 7. My friends also downloaded it and ran it fine on two vista laptops and another XP. Anyone have any idea on whats going on here and if there is a fix? Thanks.

Burned Ubuntu to a CD but it won't boot?

Ubuntu does not boot up right away and will go to a blank screen for up to 15 minutes while it examines your computer and hardware and then set itself up. There is no problem unless you get the message Kernel Panic or one that says server error. If it doesn't finish after 30 minutes it will not do anything. This could be a burn image file at too high of a speed or it could not find compatible hardware drivers. Personally I would have chosen Mandriva 2010.2, it is main line Linux and gives you the choice of what desktop environment to install.
