Sparta after the battle of Thermopylae?

Ok I want info about Sparta which god or goddes was their main worship, what happened to Sparta after the battle of Thermopylaes, was there any recorded Spartan survivors of the battle and if so what happened to them, where was a soldier's wife while he was in battle, did Persia whip out all of the Spartan soldiers in the battle or were there others posted somewhere else durning the battle?
